Firearms... finally making an appearance?! Really now?

My Walther P22 :)

Me shooting the M14.

Me shooting the M14 again.

What is this... actual firearms on the Blog? Who would've thought?! Haha. Okay, so I made my blog with the intention to post both my love of firearms AND nailart. I haven't had the chance to add any firearms action because I frankly haven't been to the range in quite a while. This is from a few weeks ago. My boyfriend and I spent a freezing cold day bundled up, shooting rifles and shotguns.

My first time shooting the Mossberg 12G shotty.
It was a rather fun day! The circled holes on the shotgun target are mine, I shared the target with a random dude because the RSOs (range safety officers) were shutting down the range within a half hour. So we tried to get in as much shooting as possible. Anyways... more posting coming soon!

Current nail condition.

With the winter cold my nails got incredibly brittle and painful as they broke and peeled off one by one. This is their current condition on top, followed by their appearance only just in February.

I'm a sad, sad nail blogger :( Just lookit how beautiful they were! And now, jeez how depressing. And they HURT. The winter is not kind to my hands. But I did get Lemony Flutter from LUSH that is helping immensely. Very exciting. Soon to be blogging again! <3

Been a while, eh?

So.. where do I start?! It has been a while since I posted, and for the few followers I have, I'm sorry! My reason is that my nails all broke off and my cuticles and surrounding skin got dry and painful so acetone and polish hurt too much to apply! I also suffered a few burns right below my finger nails that were hideous and I didn't want to photograph my nails with them there LOL.

Now then, I've decided to pull from my archives for posts and to show you exactly the brutal shape my nails are in right now.

To start:

Swatch of ZOYA Akyra.

Swatch of ZOYA Ki

Swatch of O.P.I. Don't Pretzel My Buttons

Leopard with O.P.I. Don't Pretzel My Buttons with Revlon French Roast and Orly Liquid Vinyl. Topped with Seche Vite.

Dotted.. stripes?

Hey guys! One post for you today :) I decided to try PackaPunchPolish's Polka Dot Stripes Nail Art Tutorial. Click the first link for her blog, and the second for the tutorial :) Mine didn't turn out nearly as nice, as I was in quite a hurry! But I love how fun this design is. Check it out:

The white is Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The dots were the following polishes in order from cuticle to tip: OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!, Zoya Ki, OPI Russian Navy (yes, I FINALLY got a bottle!), and Zoya Akyra. This was a rather time consuming mani, despite my haste. My striping tape also seemed to have bled into my pinky! I used the blue roll from the striping tape pack you can purchase from Amazon.com for $2.

I've had a lot of people ask me what top and base coats I use. I always, always use OPI Nail Envy as a base and Seche Vite as my top coat. :)

That's all I have for you today! Thanks for looking :)

Sparks Will Fly!

Second post, and what I'm currently wearing on my tips... China Glaze Magnetix! The color I chose was Sparks Will Fly. Lets take a looksie..

Sparks Will Fly is a beautiful flat metallic until you take the magnet to it, when purple magnificence just bursts forward!! I love the swirl design the most. If any of you are familiar with the China Glaze Magnetix, the magnet they sell for the polishes comes in a separate package, is horseshoe shaped and has 3 varied designs! I got the one with the swirl, the grid, and the lines. I'm very happy with it!

Until next time..

Another Zoya Beauty!

Hey guys! I have two posts for you today. Another Zoya beauty from the Color Your World event they had, and a China Glaze Magnetix. Lets start with the Zoya, shall we?

Now, this one I didn't do anything other than swatch. It was just so gorgeous and multidimensional on its own I didn't want to ruin it! This is Zoya Indigo. I just took this beauty off my nails after 3 or so days of wear, I just didn't want to take it off! Haha. Indigo is a stunning, deep magnetic blue with sparkles that are just barely visible. Very happy with my Zoya picks so far!
