Galaxy Nails!

Man am I excited to show you guys this. I've been seeing a lot of the blogging world posting their Galaxy manis and I haven't had a chance to really sit down and commit the time to do one until earlier this evening. I'm very excited with how it turned out!! I included a lot of photos. That's just how much I love this manicure :)

These are the polishes I used. The labels on some of them have rubbed off so I couldn't even tell you what they were :(

To do this mani, I used my angled cuticle trimmers to trim pieces of sponge off a generic makeup wedge and then locked the handles so it stayed shut with the sponge securely in place. I used a palette to drip some polish on so I could dip the sponge piece in and started building up my layers, small sponge dobs at a time. To get the starry night look, I used the Essie Luxe Effect Multi-Dimension Top Coat that you can see me holding in most of the photos. For the larger white dots and stars I used a trimmed striper brush that I cut using Robin Moses' technique you can watch here and hand painted them.

Now for some weird hand position shots that include my thumb...

Anddddd last but not least, my thumb by itself.

I'd like to have a reasonable explanation as to why I didn't list all the polish names as I usually do... but I don't. I'm just lazy tonight LOL. Sorry guys. I hope you like them! :) Give me some feedback, if you want I will try to do a tutorial if I get the new camera/tripod I want for christmas! If you try to replicate this mani, just be as random as possible with color sponging. The more random and different, the more beautiful the result. Enjoy your day!
